Well alright then, and so it begins. We are back with a new single from our new forthcoming album called something or other, not that exactly but who knows? Maybe something like it. Maybe just this whole paragraph as a title. The new single arrives on record store day and is a banger to bang all bangs for wtvr that’s worth. It features Teresa Eggers who wrote and sang with us on “Slyd” and explores the darker corners of the club where the truly important things in life are discussed. For those of u who listen at home, U CAN LISTEN HERE.

Well then, here it is, the day when AS IF is unleashed (I dunno, sounds fiercer than just plain old released, no?) upon society (sounds punker than saying world, no?). Every time u make a record u never believe it will actually be finished and then one day ur holding a cd with the most famous monkey u ever met smiling at u on the cover. It’s a strange world and it’s strange to be a member of the greatest group of all time. Not that we’re that group but it would be weird to be in that group, no? But listen, seriously, we try as hard as we can from the beginning to the last fucking second to make these records as enjoyable as is humanly fucking possible. This was a tough one and we put it all into it. I want to thank all our friends who helped us with it. (Thank u friends!) It was a fucking gas and I think it shows in the record. There’s some surprises throughout, so give it a few listens all the way through. I’ve read all the reviews that have come through and have only seen one mediocre one (from a stupid little sniveling piece of shit, I’ll have u know). True true, we’re still waiting on a few of the biggies to drop but still, I’m feeling pretty good. How will I celebrate? WELL BY GETTING BUTTSHIT WASTED ON OCTOBER 17TH AND DJING WITH SOME FRIENDS WHO HELPED US WITH THIS RECORD AT ELVIS GUESTHOUSE. Van Rivers, Justin Strauss, and Teddy Stuart. Come down and congratulate us, beg for our forgiveness, kiss us, hold us, take pix with us and tell us thx for changing ur life and music too. Anyways, don’t take my word for it. Deep In The Nite
hey everybody out there in everybodyland, just saying hello and letting u know that we have finished the difficult 7th album. "December's Children" was the stones 7th and really they were just getting started then, so maybe we're just getting started. "Pin Ups" was david bowie's 7th album and i feel confident in saying ours is better than that one. Prince's 7th was "Around the World In A Day", and i'm not gonna say ours is better than that, but i do think ours has more hits on it. What have we done? What's it about? How have we changed music this time? wellllll, i can't just say yet, cuz surprises are life's little surprises and we wouldn't wanna fuck that all up, now would we? u know at this point that we haven't made the same record twice, and each one follows after the other like steps, and i will say that this one feels like a big one. Could we possibly get funkier, catchier and more brilliant yet again? of course we could. did we? of course we did. can't wait to drop this one on u.

Here’s “BAM CITY“, the latest video from the forthcoming ‘AS IF‘. We did it the same way as OUR LAST VIDEO, goofed around on the laptop cam for an hour, this time in Gorman’s kitchen, and then had our friends at Mad Ruffian and our other friend Luke Crotty trip it out with some animation. We did 3 takes this time and I swear Mr. Meow was more excited about dancing in the earlier takes. And the song, well it’s glammy, slammy, and bound to win a Grammy, or 20 (say it with an accent and the rhyme scheme stays intact…. Sammy). Just a taste of the many surprises we have in store for u on ‘As If’. Hope u like and if u don’t I’ll simply just die. Or maybe just keep on like I usually do. K, bye. Xoxoxoxoxo

Ok, wow. I’m looking at this LIST OF TOUR DATES and realizing my life is turning into something different next month. U know, u work on these albums in cold dark miserable studios (necessary to get the tortured artist vibe) and then suddenly you’re onstage being adored by millionsish of fans and suddenly it’s all been worth it. Oh to see u all dance, sing along and come up after the show to tell us how brilliant we are. This is what we truly live for. Am I joking? Of course. Not. Of course I am. Not. I’m joking. Not never joking. Always forever till the wheels fall off. K, hi. Get ready. The album is dope, done and on the way. A couple songs are out which u should have memorized by now and we’re doing our best to relearn the rest of these new songs. I know, u can’t wait, we can’t wait.
